True to his kind heart, Arthur offered his services for free to help out families during Covid. We took him up on it and immediately recognized his genuine skill for teaching kids and (with compensation) collaborated with Arthur weekly through Covid. The kids LOVED his creative approach that met them right where they needed to be. He gently guided them to learn and the kids enjoyed every session with Arthur.

Arthur Nottenburg has been tutoring our daughter in math now since the middle of grade school. With Arthur’s guidance and teaching, our daughter was able to complete algebra prep in the 8th grade and also prepare for the High School entrance exams here in New York City. With this backdrop, our daughter was very successful with the exams and arrived at high school well prepped for the 9th grade. As a tutor, Arthur is able to pull apart difficult concepts and approach them at a level that is comfortable for the student and will make them confident when test time comes! Arthur also comes to sessions not as just a teacher, but as a guide, challenging the student to understand the work and ultimately arrive at the answer on their own as opposed to just giving answers and explaining concepts. On top of all of this successful tutoring, Arthur has become a family friend and has been amazingly flexible with our crazy week to week schedule. We cannot say enough about all the good work Arthur has done for us over the years!
